Rebisco Foundation Scholars and Alumni IGNITE and Unite with Rebisco

The Rebisco Foundation Inc. (RFI) gathered 56 of its NCR and Luzon-based Tertiary Scholars and Alumni last November 24, 2018 at the Joy~Nostalg Hotel and Suites to reunite with Rebisco. This first time event was attended by RFI’s current and former ESTUDY (Educational Support and Training for Underprivileged Desrving Youth) - Tertiary and FATE (Financial Assistance for Tertiary Education) scholars from Ateneo De Manila University, De La Salle University, University of the Philippines Diliman and Los Baños, University of Sto. Tomas, San Beda University, and Technological Institute of the Philippines.

Entitled ‘IGNITE’, the event aimed to strengthen the ties between the scholars and alumni, and spark connection and engagement with Rebisco. It also launched the RFI Alumni Association, through which the alumni pledged their commitment to participate in RFI and Rebisco activities, where they can best contribute their time, talent and resources towards the company’s vision of creating positive impact on communities.

It was emphasized that Rebisco is not after the quantity of scholars helped, but on the quality of scholars willing and committed to do their best and thrive amidst the challenges of sustaining RFI’s scholarship requirements.

The highlight of the event was the alumni’s pledge of commitment. They placed their names in areas where they can contribute:
1. Serve as resource speakers in the scholars’ activities
2. Volunteer in RFI’s medical mission and Rebisco’s CSR activities
3. Help mobilize resources for the scholarship program needs
4. Share talents in the events of RFI and Rebisco
5. Other possible ways
