"Seven Sundays" wins Tambuli Award on Cinema for Good

The Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards presented the first ever Special Award on Cinema for Good to Rebisco and ABS CBN’s Star Cinema for the film “Seven Sundays”. 

The awards ceremony was held last Tuesday, June 5, at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Fort. Rebisco Marketing Director, Mr. Rey G. delos Reyes, received the award on behalf of the company. Star Cinema executives and cast members Ronaldo Valdez and Cristine Reyes, were also present during the ceremony.

“Seven Sundays” is a film that inspires and strengthens the Filipino family, depicting the intrinsic values of understanding, forgiveness, respect, unity and love for parents and siblings. It also earned impressive box office results globally, as well as overwhelming positive support among Filipinos worldwide. 

“The Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards honors brands that do good and do well—the seamless integration of creativity + human good + results”.  The Special Award on Cinema for Good is accorded to a film that best exemplifies the mission and core values of the Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards, with a focus on “mainstream brand campaigns that celebrate humanity, inspire purpose, and deliver results” (Asia-Pacific Tambuli Awards 2018,
